ten days in slovenia/croatia

i will be flying soon into ljubljana, for a ten-day trip. my friends and i were hoping to travel up to triglav for a two-day hike or so, and then go see friends in croatia near pula. at the end we have to head back to ljubljana to fly. is this possible, or too ambitious? advice welcome.
