How to get from Hat Yai Airport to Pak Bara Pier

WE will be flying in from Bangkok and need to get from Hat Yai Airport to the Pak Bara Pier, as soon as possible. Our flight arrives early and in the past we have taken a mini bus to a place near the station to get another mini bus to the pier. Is there a better way? Thanks!
