Moving to Idaho
Posted by lisashomeoffice on Thursday, 16 July 2009
I am moving to Idaho after Christmas and would like to know how difficult it is to move during that time, as far as weather is concerned. I wanted to move this fall to make things easier;however my son talked me into staying just for holidays. I want to move as soon as possible after Christmas. I’m from California and don’t know much about colder weather (excess rain, snow, etc.) I’m having a moving company drive my goods there and I will unpack the cargo. I plan on moving to the Boise area.

Answer by Theresa Laird on Friday, 17 July 2009 Jan./Feb. are the harshest months w/snow, slush, rain. Boise area not too bad in comparison to eastern Idaho weather. If the moving co. gets you there…just be ready to unload w/a coat, gloves, scarf and boots. Do you have help here? Do you have a home chosen to move into? I’m a Realtor in the Boise area and would be glad to help you find one. Good luck! |

Answer by Laura C on Saturday, 18 July 2009 Normally we don’t have much snow here that stays on the ground, so moving in the winter might not be all that bad. Our average temperature in winter (days) is around 40-45, so it’s not that cold, either. |
