Fishing

If you want to fish, you can take your own rods. There are lots of fishing opportunities on the island, including Hoopers Bay (far end of the beach) where you are staying.
There is a caretaker onsite who will help you out. Also you should speak with the manager (Sue). She arranged everything for us at a fraction of the cost. My husband and stayed at Hoopers Bay Villas last year. We were able to fish, kayak and take multiple trips to Stocking Island. The cottages might even have fishing poles, we were given snorkeling gear. You should call and ask. The beach at Hoopers Bay was worth everything. It was a couple minutes walk to the beach access (track path) we later found a quicker way and was on the beach in less than a minute. We always stay at vacation rentals (no hotels)and our cottage at Hoopers Bay Villas was well stocked. We had a great vacation.
