Proposed travel to saipan

I have a proposed travel to saipan coming from Texas,USA to Saipan. Do I need a visa and what other travel documents are required, I only have the state I.D my tentative schedule is on September 2010. In some cases like traveling to hawaii state I.D. is sufficient.
