how to reach Skiathos from Volos

Dear Sirs, we are a group of 10 people who will arrive to Volos day 17 September at around 12.30 lunchtime to Volos airport. I noted that the only boat from Volos port to Skiathos is at around 14.30 pm. Do you think it will be possible to take that boat? Will we have time to reach port? moreover, should we book in advance tickets or we will find also them there? thanks!
