My two bits about Bayan Ulgii Mongolia

Last summer (2008) just before eclipse i have been in Bayan Ulgii with some friends.

Bayan-Ulgii is the only one kazakh town in Mongolia. in the town people speak in kazakh even local mongolians speak kazakh and it is totally different than Mongolian language.

Mosque, museum and the public bath, sauna are interesting places to go.

We drove out to Tavan Bogd Mountain, and blue wolf tourism arranged a jeep for us. on the way we were expecting to see petroglyphs which is from 5th centry, but we could not see it because of our driver.
Normally the owner of BWT said that the driver would arrange everthing and he is experienced..

We saw that the driver was not experienced driver. We had also many problems with driver. after that when we come back and talked to Mr Khanat what he said was "it happens sometimes"
so i do not recommend blue Wolf.

after that accidentally we met a young guy who is owner of kazakhtour helped us, and he was really nice guy. I recommend him, His name is Dosjan ()

also Tourist information center in ulgii was very helpful for us.

Yep,
when we were western mongolia our driver was Dosjan.

Dosjan was our guide too. Friendly nice guy. We recommend him.
